An examinee
must fulfill the following technical criteria before submitting their examination
tapes/CDs for examination. They are as follows:
Vocal
Examination: Students taking vocal examination can send there recordings in form of
audio cassettes, audio CDs or upload mp3 at our web-site.
General
Technical Requirements:
The
recording must be
clearly legible.
Only amateur
(home) recording is allowed. Studio recordings, patching, editing
is strictly prohibited. Detection of a studio recording or edited
recording would lead to suspension from examination. However if recording
with help of a PC based home recording system, transfer to audio tapes
or other mediums is allowed.
All tapes
/ CDs must be clearly marked with Name, Grade and Examination
Registration Number of the student.
Portions
that require students to record voice along with the
accompaniment (Tabla etc), voice must be louder than the accompaniment
so that the accompaniment dos not overlap, overshadow the voice, as
this is the test of voice.

Instruments and Dance
examination:
Students studying Indian Classical instruments and Dances must send their
practical examination performance in form of a video. Please see
instruction given below:
The
video can be sent in form of a VHS tape in PAL or NTSC systems;
or in form of digital video in form of avi, mpeg, Real, or Quicktime
movie formats.
Video
should be clear. Home videos shot under normal light conditions are
acceptable. A normal handycam or digicam recording is
acceptable.
All videos
or CDs must be clearly labeled with Name, Grade and Examination
Registration Number of the candidate.
